Drathoven (aka Drabraham Lincoln) is a self-taught keyboard musician from Houston, Texas. Influenced by his musical mother who raised him in church, he fell in love with the art of creating music from the heart. He began his professional music career as a teen-aged in house producer and A&R rep for radio personality, Madd Hatta's Paid In Full Entertainment. After years of working with his mentor Crazy C at Paid in Full, Drathoven went on to become an independent producer/songwriter collaborating with heavy hitters like Errol "Poppi" McCalla (Destiny's Child, Beyonce), legendary new jack swing creator Teddy Riley (Blackstreet, Michael Jackson) and iconic 90s R&B titan Babyface (Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton). As he gained exposure in the industry, he started 4AllMusic group (4AM) along with songwriter Jada Pen to provide opportunities for aspiring creatives. Over the span of his lengthy music career, he has collaborated as a producer, songwriter, and engineer with some of the greatest in the industry. But it wasn't until he relocated to Los Angeles for a fresh start in 2017, that he began to develop a love for his own artistry. He credits his life as inspiration to his own unique sound. His first single Seasons featuring Luh Kel, Kayla Sharve (Citizen Queen), Neelam, Mac Royals (American Idol), and Tony Verra was the beginning of what he calls his "Feel Trip" - a journey of self-reflection. Since then, he has dropped various collaborative singles, features, and EPs (The Drabraham Lincoln Project and The Red Tape available on all music platforms).
"What leaves the heart, reaches the heart," says Drathoven. And as evidenced by his past and present music, Drathoven's heart has a lot more music to give.
Drathoven is an acclaimed super producer who has created hits for a number of major label and indie artists in the world of hip-hop, r&b, pop, and gospel. Credits include Tyrese (Open Invitation, Black Rose), Yolanda Adams (Becoming), Snoop Dogg, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Zro, James Fortune, Big Sean, Lil KeKe, Pleasure P, Jacob Latimore, Zi'el, Zacardi Cortez and many more! But his most honorable mentions (that he personally feels sets him apart as a super producer) are his credits as the executive producer of several buzzworthy independent albums of up and coming artists whose musical sound he was instrumental in developing. Most notably Houston's female rap pioneer and Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star Just Brittany and YEMG/Rap-A-Lot artist Ken Randle (Sex In A Slab -The Album). Other executive producer and production credits include MC Beezy's Special album, Shei Atkins' Girl Talk, VH1, BET, and MTV television/ film.
Drathoven is also a gifted songwriter whose love for lyrics and catchy melodies is often heard throughout many of the songs he musically produces. He has written hooks and songs for many of the artists listed above, as well as several artists not previously mentioned. From reality TV stars to major movie stars, like Tyrese (Nothing On You; Leave) and Yolanda Adams (Be Still) for which he won a prestigious ASCAP award, Drathoven's pen is just as remarkable as his musicianship.
